Dr. Friedman Recognized with Multiple Top Doctor Awards
Dr. Paul Friedman has long been recognized across the world as a top physician and researcher in the fields of laser medicine and surgery and cosmetic dermatology. He has been honored with a multitude of awards: most recently by Newsweek as one of America’s Best Cosmetic Dermatologists, one of the 2022 Texas Super Doctors®, a Castle Connolly Top Doctor since 2016, and a New York Magazine Top Doctor for the last two years.
Newsweek’s list of America’s Best Cosmetic Dermatologists of 2022 is a sought-after designation achieved by only the top 275 of 2,200 dermatologists in the 20 most populous U.S. states. Of the 125 top cosmetic dermatologists honored this year, only the top 50 are scored and ranked, of which Dr. Friedman was one. Each doctor’s score is calculated based on peer recommendations and peer quality scores, and cosmetic dermatologists are also awarded based on a standout treatment noted by their peers.
This is Dr. Friedman’s ninth year in a row to receive the Texas Super Doctors award. Candidates for this prestigious award are selected through a rigorous multi-step process that evaluates 10 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Only roughly 5% of doctors in each respective state or region qualify for this award.
Castle Connolly Top Doctors are selected based on peer recommendations, and professional qualifications, education, hospital and faculty appointments, research leadership, and professional reputation are all part of the evaluation process. Castle Connolly has been the most trusted resource in identifying Top Doctors – a recognition that only goes to the top 7% of all US board-certified physicians. New York Magazine’s Top Doctors selection is based on the Castle Connolly selection.
In addition to serving as the director of Dermatology & Laser Center, Dr. Friedman also serves as the President of the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery, the world’s largest professional organization promoting excellence in this elite field.
