At Dermatology & Laser Surgery Center in Houston, we are pleased to offer our patients the skin rejuvenation benefits of treatment with the revolutionary UltraClear laser. Using UltraClear, we can offer our patients painless treatments of a full variety of concerns including advanced photo aging, aging skin, sun spots, age spots, brown spots/pigmentation, enlarged pores, fine lines, wrinkles, scars and more.

What is UltraClear?

UltraClear is the first-of-its-kind cold ablative Fractional fiber aesthetic laser cleared by the FDA for skin rejuvenation. This system applies short, concentrated beams of light precisely to the very top layers of the skin, removing dead and damaged skin cells. The micro-injuries caused by treatment with the UltraClear laser prompts the body’s natural healing mechanism, promoting new cell growth and stimulating production of collagen and elastin. Because UltraClear uses cold laser fiber technology, side effects like post-inflammation hyperpigmentation (PIH) and post-inflammation erythema (PIE) are not a concern.1

Benefits of UltraClear Laser Treatment

UltraClear is a fast, gentle laser treatment that is ideal for many of our patients, offering such benefits as:

Preparing for UltraClear

There isn’t much you need to do to prepare for UltraClear skin rejuvenation. During your consultation, your provider may ask you to eliminate sun exposure and refrain from using certain skin care products so that you achieve optimal results. You may also be instructed to increase your water intake one week prior to the procedure.

The UltraClear Procedure

UltraClear laser treatments often take only 15 minutes, and no anesthetic cream is required for our patients to stay comfortable during treatment.

Before your UltraClear session, your skin will be cleansed. You will then recline in a comfortable treatment chair while the “cold” laser handpiece is guided over the treatment area.

UltraClear Recovery and Results

UltraClear has a variety of treatment options that can be easily tailored to your desired results and lifestyle.

The 3DMIRACL treatment offers a smoother and brighter complexion with little to no downtime. This treatment is sometimes called a “lunchtime peel” and is best for those looking to return to work as soon as possible. You may notice mild redness and swelling of the skin immediately after treatment, which can be easily concealed with makeup.

More aggressive resurfacing for deeper wrinkles and scars requires several days of downtime and can yield dramatic improvement with just one treatment.

After a single UltraClear laser treatment, patients begin to notice improvements in their skin in as little as two days. Results for 3DMIRACL last a few months, then patients may come in for a touch-up treatment. Deeper resurfacing results can last anywhere from 1-5 years.

UltraClear Laser-Coring

UltraClear Laser-Coring is an innovative, first-of-its-kind technique that combines the consistent skin rejuvenation of UltraClear with advanced tissue coring to address deep wrinkles and scars. The results are effective skin tightening with less discomfort and downtime. Read Dr. Friedmans in-depth review of Ultra-Coring in Dermatology Times.
