VBeam® is a non-invasive laser skin rejuvenation procedure that can treat a variety of vascular conditions and complexion issues, including rosacea, hyperpigmentation, spider veins, and more. The Vbeam® Laser Platform is a pulsed-dye laser system coupled with a patented Dynamic Cooling Device (DCD). We offer both VBeam® Perfecta and VBeam® Prima at the Dermatology & Laser Surgery Center in Houston and New York.
How Does VBeam® Work?
VBeam® utilizes advanced technology to emit pulses of energy with differently colored laser beams that target red pigmentation and discoloration to diminish imperfections without harming the surrounding skin. VBeam® Prima is optimized to deliver twice the wavelengths to treat larger areas, as well as blue veins. VBeam® Perfecta and VBeam® Prima both use micropulse technology to apply greater energy in a number of shorter, lower-energy pulses, which also increases effectiveness and reduces the incidence of side effects.
The Vbeam® Laser Can Treat:
- Facial Veins
- Spider Veins
- Port Wine Stains
- Venous Lakes
- Stretch Marks
- Benign Cutaneous Vascular Lesions
VBeam® Prima Laser For Advanced Rosacea Treatment and Laser Scar Removal
VBeam® Perfecta is well-established as an effective treatment for rosacea, and we are thrilled to offer the VBeam® Prima, which expands upon the VBeam®technology to offer increased wavelength capabilities along with additional skin cooling features. This treatment broadens the range of skin conditions that can be improved, and VBeam® Prima is well-suited for larger treatment areas and difficult-to-treat skin conditions.
VBeam® Results and Recovery
In general, three to five treatments are required to accomplish optimal results. These treatments are usually performed four to six weeks apart.
Patients typically receive a topical numbing cream 30 minutes prior to the laser treatment and report little to no discomfort during the procedure. If anything, you may feel a slight sting like being snapped with a rubber band, or perhaps the sensation of a mild sunburn on treated skin. Some patients experience redness, swelling, or bruising which resolves itself within days.
