Meet Megan Couvillion, MD
Dr. Couvillion will start seeing patients on November 1st
Dr. Couvillion is a board-certified dermatologist with expertise in medical and cosmetic dermatology who sees patients of all ages. She believes in an evidence-based and collaborative approach to dermatologic care, working closely with each patient to develop an individualized treatment plan. Dr. Couvillion sees patients with a broad range of skin, hair, and nail conditions. One of her special interests is the treatment of hair loss disorders. She understands how empowering it is to feel confident in your skin (and hair!), whether treating psoriasis, acne, or alopecia, or creating a cosmetic treatment plan to soften the signs of aging and help you feel confident at any age. In her aesthetic practice, Dr. Couvillion combines cosmetic injectables, energy-based devices, laser treatments, and medical-grade skincare to achieve natural, refined results.
Dr. Couvillion has been practicing dermatology since 2017. A New Orleans native, she graduated with her Medical Degree from LSU Health Sciences Center, where she was elected to the national medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha. She completed an Internal Medicine Internship and Dermatology Residency at Tulane University School of Medicine. Prior to medical school, Dr. Couvillion earned a Master of Science degree in Cell and Molecular Biology at Tulane University.
In addition to patient care, Dr. Couvillion is dedicated to advancing the field of dermatology through research. She has served as a clinical investigator in more than 50 clinical trials that have contributed to the development of new dermatologic medications, cosmetic treatments, and energy-based devices. She has co-authored publications in peer-reviewed journals and a textbook chapter. Dr. Couvillion also serves as a speaker and consultant for leading pharmaceutical companies.
