Dermatology & Laser Surgery Center is pleased to announce that we are the only practice in Houston currently offering the Thermage FLX, an innovative new facial and body rejuvenation treatment that builds on the unique capabilities of the traditional Thermage® procedure.

What is Thermage FLX?

Thermage FLX is a non-surgical, FDA-cleared procedure that utilizes radiofrequency technology to reduce wrinkles and tighten the skin for a smoother, more youthful, and refreshed look while enhancing patient comfort and reducing the overall treatment time. The new Thermage FLX treatment combines the same basic technique of the previous generation Thermage® procedure with some additional advantages.

Utilizing patented radiofrequency technology, this non-invasive treatment system creates a heating effect in the deeper layers of the skin, helping to tighten collagen within the skin and stimulate new collagen production. This can give the skin a smoother, firmer appearance while aiding the skin’s ability to maintain the results for a long period of time. With a new, vibrating hand piece that is guided over the treatment area, the Thermage FLX system enhances patient comfort during the procedure and results in a 25 percent reduction in overall treatment time. The procedure does not require general anesthesia and is performed on an outpatient basis.1

Benefits of Thermage FLX

Benefits of Thermage FLX treatment include:

Preparing for Thermage FLX

Thermage FLX is a minimally invasive treatment, and the only preparation you will need to do is to attend a private consultation with one of our experienced providers. During this meeting, you will have the opportunity to be candid about your concerns and goals. If you decide together that Thermage FLX is the right treatment for you, your session will be scheduled.

The Thermage FLX Procedure

During your Thermage FLX treatment, you will recline in a comfortable treatment chair while the device handpiece is guided over your skin. You will feel vibration and mild heat, but this device is designed never to get too hot. Treatment is applied in pulses to the treatment area, and a single session lasts between 30 and 90 minutes.

Thermage FLX Recovery and Results

In most cases, patients are able to continue with their daily routines immediately after the Thermage FLX treatment. Most individuals will experience some swelling and redness in the treatment areas following the procedure; however, these effects should fade over the next few days.

After a single Thermage FLX treatment session, patients will see measurable results. Results are usually visible within two months of treatment, when increased collagen production is apparent.
